COVID_19 PROTOCOLS
The procedures and protocols in this document were created in accordance with the CDC Considerations for Schools. The CDC considerations are intended to help protect students, teachers, administrators, and staff slow the spread of COVID-19. These considerations are meant to supplement, not replace any state or local laws which the school must adhere to.
The Department of Catholic Schools has issued guidelines outlining ways to modify our school environment and procedures to meet the directives set forth by state and local officials. We have made the necessary adjustments at our school site in accordance with the guidelines, in order to safely return to on-campus instruction. In January 2021 the school submitted an application to operate a hybrid model of in-person and remote learning, for our TK to 8th grade students and was approved. You may find the school's listed on the following in the LACDPH Safe Schools for All Site.
For the 2021-2022 school plans to begin the school year with a fully restoration of in-person daily instruction.
To maintain a safe in-person learning environment, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released updated guidance for TK-12 schools reflecting recent revisions from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). OLR will be following these guidelines and the guidelines set forth by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This includes the wearing of masks indoors for all individuals (regardless of vaccination status), screening testing, frequent hand washing, staying home when sick or getting tested, indoor ventilation contact tracing in combination with quarantine and isolation, and cleaning and disinfection are also important layers of prevention to keep schools safe. We will continue to monitor and make necessary adjustments for the safety and well-being of all students, families, and staff. The school will continue to keep our distance learning plans if there to be another communal surge of Covid19.
Below, we have outlined the procedures and protocols we will abide by to ensure that we provide a safe environment for students, staff, and families, and reduce the potential spread of the virus.
